Conference Keynote: Brian E. Daley, S.J.


We are privileged to have as our keynote speaker Fr. Brian Daley, Catherine F. Huisking Professor of Theology at the Univeristy of Notre Dame. He is the author of several books on the Early Church Fathers. In 2012 he was awarded the prestigious Ratzinger Prize for Theology. He is also executive secretary of the North American Orthodox-Catholic Theological Consultation, which has met semiannually since 1965 and has produced 29 joint statements. 

Evening Lecture: Met. Tarasios of Buenos Aires


Metropolitan Tarasios has been Primate of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Buenos Aires and South America since 2001, when then Cardinal Jorge Bergoglio of Buenos Aires attended his enthronement. Twelve years later he was invited in turn to Rome to attend the inauguration of Cardinal Bergoglio as Pope Francis. We are honored to host Met. Tarasios on the campus of Saint Louis University for a public lecture on the future prospects for Orthodox-Catholic relations, especially during the tenure of the current Pope.

Met. Tarasios will speak at 7pm in the Pere Marquette Gallery on the 2nd floor of Saint Louis University's DuBourg Hall. This lecture is free and open to the public.
